Hokkaido trip

One of the long weekends in the recent past was all white with snow as a few of us headed for Sapporo in Hokkaido north of Japan.

We had fears of less snow as many of our japanese friends told uis about the reduced snow fall adn the cancellation of many snow festivals in North Japan. But it was a releif when they told that the sapporo festicval would go on with snow if required being brought in from the neighbouring areas.

We started early morning from Gyotuku and it was real wonderful to wait outside the Haneda airport till 5 when it opened and as it opened soon there were surprises and fun for the crowd
. ha da breakfast and very soon we were on the flight for Sapporo. Had to take a bus ride to our hotel and the moment i put my foot on ice zwhooom phathak my ass was kissing solid ice!

I remeber i was to change the sneakers - the Mt fuji climnb had taken the grip off the soles quite much.
We soon found our hotela dn it was lot of fun sleeping the foirst day after an indian Lunch heavy of course! And we started the ice sculptures and then the TV tower.
we could also visit the next day the Mt Moiwa which in deed is a great place to be adn the ice bar on top is a must visit!Ricking fun and out of the world the Counter girl one of them was fluent in Hindi
yeah you read it right HIndi!!! Hooo !

The fun we had was awesoem with lot of new experiences including the sapporo beer factory and the Chingiskan special of Fresh cut lamb and beer!

Shoping and then few more locations ! The trip was great fun specially as there was snow through out and lots of fun filled moments!
