Going Mobile IN Japan

At last I have taken a mobile connection here in Japan. I know itÂ’s going to make me pay quite much but still I think its going to give me more mobility outherel out of the main 3 players I chose to go for the CDMA connection which will turn out to be pretty much cheap compared to the other players here in Japan. Well, ItÂ’s a CDMA phone so I aoutdota Japan the handset becomes an organizer and a showpiece as phonell itÂ’s a Sony Ericsson handset under the banner of Music hungry. All I needed to pay at the time of connection is just 945 Yen ie: approximately 370 INR. Well the phone was for 0 yen. Can you believe that.??Well usage as a phone is just 1 out of the so many features of the handset. Check out the model #W41S on line for the details and I went for the blueeeees. The features are too many that cannot be explored in a day or two. More over the Phone is as good as a walkman even when I am yet to try out on the music part of it. If has inbuilt Eddy card and Suica Facility which are quite common out here in Japan.Eddy is and electronic cash system which Sony has introduced again in Japan and most of the vending machines and many supermarkets accept Eddy cards. The idea is to recharge the card and use is as electronic cash. Kinda the chip is read and written by the Eddy recharge and billing Facilities.Suica is yet another electronic payment technique a smart card kind of feature which can be used on the JR Metro lines and many other facilities. Forget taking out change or the ticket cards at the Ticket gates in the Metro stations. Just even as you walk or talk on the Mobile. Just flash it on the smart card reader and the gates are open for youÂ…Its just 2 of the many features available on the mobile. It has an MS slot and even it could read barcodes. The open wave browser is pretty decent with a different UI and you can be connected to the net all along. The Cmail and the mobile mail is the cheapest and the most used feature in Japan. A late mail sent form your phone to your office colleagues could be considered official and totally authentic and is given full consideration. Its just a wonderful thing to pass time on as you explore the wonderful webworld from your phone as you travel walk or even relax.People are so attached to thphonesines that they have atleast a couple of hanging stuffed disney characters of other cartoon image. and Ladies just do their own kinda make for their phones too.Well one major thing even if every soul carries at least a mobile, no one speaks loudly on phone and in the train they are in silent mode or people just do not talk on phones. Phones are strictly to be turned off near the Priority seats (reserved for handicapped, Pregnant women and old people). Guess what most of the mobiles have an option - whisper moder. As japanese are not used to talking loudly. Its the height of technology and discipline all together. Enjoy tech nology and be disciplined.
