Have you ever imagined a King cry?
Let’s think about it for a few quick moments......
Well a king to cry what could be the reason? I don't think we can imagine anything right away! They live in all the well beingness and there is no reason of sorrow and the king can in turn change the sorrow in to happiness to an extent as he has the power with him on all the things around.
Recently being in Tokyo i have been attending the TUC - Tokyo Union church for the Sunday services and at times the Evening praise service on Sunday evenings.
I started attending the church regularly on Sundays and was given the opportunity by the Lord to lead the service on the YAG Sunday. Me and many other young Adults from around the world worshipped and led the worship on April 2. This was awesome and you may have seen the snaps on my link already. But as we were leading we had to occupy the front seats in the church. While sitting and listening to the special youth messages something struck me.,
Through the message as i was listening, the glass window a tall one which tapers up the tower of the altar caught my attention. Its designed like a collage
of small patches of blue stained glass pieces. IN between there is a standing cross in dark brown. I have tried to capture it on cam. But the beauty of the Altar window is awesome specially in mornings when the sun light seeps through. Some thing ordinary in many of the church buildings are these glass painted windows. Most of them being some event in the bible. What was it here its just had a cross with blue and violet patches in the background. Something i had not seen often. Among them were some white crudely circular white spots. A closer look and you will find them real 3 dimensional and standing out. I kept thinking whats so artistic about this??? It signified nothing nut the cross in the Christian perspective.
A couple of weeks passed and i thought about this particular piece of Art. Have been thinking God what’s this about? i mean a modern piece of art in a church?
As I am pretty much regular on Sundays, another Sunday i was among the crowd worshipping at TUC. There was a lady guest that week and Pastor Bruce introduced her to be one of the presbyters of TUC in the past. She was handed over the mic and she started sharing some of the events and incidents of her times in TUC.
Well as the speech went by she was mentioning about the altar glass painting. The artist who was a believer wants to show the love he received for our Lord.
I was just spell bound when she explained the altar background.
She termed the theme and idea of the art work in three words “Tears of Love". And those were the white dimensional spots on the blue background. Just a moment and she was talking about the tears that fall from the heaven cos our Lord loves us so much.
Think of the experience the artist would have had that he created the beautiful tears of Love Painting in the altar of TUC. I could not think a king crying and when it comes to love may be and think at what point in love any one could shed tears. When it is love unbound and you feel like your love is lost for instance. I bet any one in love would shed tears.
I just realized how much he loves us even when we are lost. We the people are His lost love and remember its valuable tears shed and He loves us so much and so that Our King cries fro each of us as He loves us unconditionally. Aren't we privileged? And we keep saying we are out of love.
The blood that was shed on Calvary and now the tears of Love all for you and me-The Lost!!!
It’s amazing that its beyond words to explain His love we need to experience it. Experience it in real if you are in Tokyo .The Tokyo Union Church at Omote Sando.
