At least 200m Indians live in extreme poverty, but the uppermost ranks of India’s 1.1bn citizens are among the world’s most affluent. India has the most billionaires of any Asian country, according to Forbes’ annual list of the world’s wealthiest people; 14 Indians were new to Forbes’ list last year.
Imagining why the gap? Diversity? Strata? Democracy? Corruption? Faces of Economy?
Lot of questions can arise!
