My learnings

Worshipping at the Tokyo Union Church.

Was another cold winter Sunday here at Tokyo.
3 movies back to back and the long Saturday night had made sire that i never got up before Sunday 12 PM.

I have been worried a bit as i have been skipping church for sometime now. Been in Tokyo for 3 weeks and never been to a Church. Of course finding churches in Tokyo is not an easy job. Well resort on my good ol' friend on the web. Gooooogle. Typed in for church in Tokyo and there came a list running down. Was a God given feeling that i could find something on the web in this techie zone on earth.
It was unbelievable that there were quite a lot of them mostly Catholic churches. Well decided to look in deeper and started narrowing down the search. Found something very interested came up on the list. Tokyo Union Church. Was it the name similarity that it had with the Union church in ooty?

I clicked on and started reading. Almost everything was neatly presented on the page. The first attempt was totally delayed as i got up too late for the morning services. But praise God i found about the evening service and i knew i would be just in time. Started at around 3.45 PM from Gyotuku. Prayed well and opened the map and took the directions to mind. The wonders of the Lord! I started and without a minute's stop i reached the church at around 4.20 PM.

The location is Omote-Sando on the Ginza line. While traveling I got to read about this place and its considered to be the Paris in Japan and its one of the most happening places to be on a Sunday. The praise had started and was almost to the middle of the service, but still the feeling of God's presence was amazing and i loved being in the house of our Lord.

You won't believe how much happy i was to find English speaking Nihinji!! and that too believers. There were no words to thanks God our friend and shepherd. I am always amazed the way he guides me through all the times in my life,
I hope to learn many new things from here through many of them and above all by the touch of His holy spirit and also to be able to contribute to His kingdom.

Definitely this is a good place for worship for all tourists in Tokyo. Its a church which is open to all faiths and denominations and they worship the Holy Trinity and believe in one baptism.

From then on its almost regular Sundays to church. Last week even we attended a service in the morning, a seminar in the after noon and then a praise session in the evening. was a wonderful day spent. Praise God as soon as i started i have more people joining me to church. My God bless every thirsty soul of ours in His abundance.

In fact Omote-Sando really worked out to be a happening place on Sundays.
